Blokit is a simple idea to make life easier for those of us that want to make our own face coverings, and don't have the skills or the equipment to do so.

Blokit provides a simple holder system, so all you have to do, is cut out a rectangle of any fabric you can find, and then clip it in. The holder has comfortable, adjustable, moulded elastomeric ear loops, which makes them more comfortable than elastic straps.
As with all face coverings, you will either wash it regularly or throw it away, but with the Blokit system, you can also cut out lots of rectangles of fabric and have a clean one ready whenever you need it. You can add more layers of thin fabric if regulations change.

So, make your own using materials you have at home. It could be a single rectangle, made from an old T-Shirt, or you can look for other materials that provide a good barrier and that you feel safe with. But make sure it is easy to breathe through. There are lots of fun things you can try, like find some material that matches what you are wearing that day, or perhaps write a message or draw a picture on white T-Shirt material. You might have off-cuts from another project that looks a bit funky? An old faithful T-Shirt that you can't bear to throw away might finally have a purpose. Perhaps you have a T-Shirt or sports wear with with your favourite football team logo, or maybe band you once went to see. Or you might just want a plain black or a plain white one. The great thing about this product, is once you know the best size of fabric to suit your face, you can cut out lots of different filters and have them ready for when you need them. Keep a few with you or in the car (in a clean polythene bag). change them as often as you like, storing the used ones away from the clean ones, of course. If you want to stand out, the world is your oyster!
